1. I had problems downloading Sudoku Up. Now when I run it, the following errors messages are displayed: "not a valid file ..." OR "error reading ..."

2. While playing, the program freezes or reboots (sometimes preceded by an error message).

2. While playing, the program freezes or reboots (sometimes preceded by an error message).

Note: this is not a Sudoku Up specific error, but is related to the software/hardware configuration.
If Sudoku Up freezes, other games/programs with the same configuration will freeze.

To solve the problem:

1) First, restart your P.C. Errors are sometimes caused by a temporary conflict with drivers or programs.

2) Some opened applications can create the problem. Please close all open programs, then run Sudoku Up.

3) The problem can be related to the Video Card drivers. You can check the web page of your Video Card manufacturer for updated drivers. To see the Video card you are using, open Start, Settings, Control Panel, Display,Settings tab, Advanced button, Adapter tab.

4) Some advanced video cards can create problems. Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel, Display, Settings tab, Advanced button, Troubleshooting tab. Decrease the hardware acceleration to correct possible problems. Try all positions from "Full" to "None".

3. Windows 98/Me/NT/2000 - Message: Microsoft GDI+ library required to be installed.

You are using Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT or Windows 2000 and you get the message: "Exception in module Sudoku Up.exe [...] [...] requires the Microsoft GDI+ library to be installed."

To solve the problem, please install the Microsoft GDI+ library.

1) Click here to download the Microsoft GDI+ library and save the file to your desktop.

2) When the download is complete, double click the downloaded file to start the installation.

3) Install the the Microsoft GDI+ library in the Sudoku Up folder. The installation folder must be where Sudoku Up is installed (the default folder is: C:\Program Files\Sudoku Up).
