Q: I'm running Sudoku Up and I get the error:
"Error deleting the file C:\Program
Files\Sudoku Up\Data\..."
or
"Error renaming the file C:\Program
Files\Sudoku Up\Data\..."
A: You have an old Sudoku Up
installation and you upgraded your
Windows installation (98, XP or
previous version) to Windows Vista
or Windows 7.
You get the error because Windows
Vista and Windows 7 don't allow writing files in
the C:\Program Files\ folder
To solve the problem, simply do the
following:
- Run Sudoku Up.
- Click on "Tools" on the
toolbar, then
- choose "Options", then
the "Settings" tab.
- Click on "Store folder
settings".
- Select "Sudoku Up default
Folder"
- and click "OK" to
confirm.
If you want to save your previous
Sudoku Up configuration and
statistics, you can move all the
files from:
C:\Program Files\Sudoku
Up\Data\*.*
to
[Sudoku Up default Folder]
For Windows Vista and Windows 7 the folder is:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Sudoku
